How I Proposed To My Bridesmaids

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for today's blog post! Sharing how I asked my girls to be my bridesmaids, and I make sure to link most of what I used and more on my Amazon Storefront!

Being a bridesmaid entails way more than just standing next to the bride for her wedding day. It's attending/organizing events and showers, supporting the bride through the planning process, planning the bachelorette party, and so much more!

LIST OF WHAT I INCLUDED IN MY BRIDESMAID BOXES

I asked 3 of the closest girls in my life to take on these duties and stand next to me on my big day. I gave 2 of the girls their bridesmaid boxes as Christmas gifts last year. I asked my maid of honor early last October when we went wedding venue shopping. Since I only get to see her a few times of year, this was most convenient! I talk more about which wedding venue we picked in this blog post.

First, let me start out by sharing the boxes I used. I found these adorable bridesmaid proposal boxes on Amazon for under $20 that consisted of 2 bridesmaids boxes and a maid of honor box. This was the perfect amount for my bridal party! They are 8x8 in size, and have a magnetic lid. From the dollar tree I picked up a bag or two of shredded filler paper to stuff inside the boxes.

Since the front of the boxes had nothing on outside when I ordered them, I wanted to add a little something to make them custom to each girl. I found extremely affordable gold decals on Amazon and had their names custom made so that I could stick them on the front of each box. The decals were very easy to apply, and really added the finish touch to the box.

One of the important factors I had to consider when putting together these boxes was the cost. I had to buy 3 of everything. Thank goodness, I had a small bridal party because the numbers add up so quickly! Especially when each item is around $5+ each.

I based everything else in this box upon these stainless steel tumblers. I went for a pink themed self-care spa night vibe for my boxes.

Another item I included in their boxes were gorgeous geode bath bombs. This is an affordable pack of 6 which can easily be split up to each box! Mine all pink are no longer available.

From the liquor store I picked up a tiny 4-pack of mini Sutter Home wine bottles. Pink Moscato flavored to match the pink theme. The 4-pack was under $10. I saved one for myself of course!

The plush socks come in a pack of different options. They are so cozy and the perfect addition!

The last gift I included in the box were some bridal hair ties. My exact set is local from Boscovs, but I found those similar ones on Amazon! I accidentally gave the girls the wrong set for the bride, but I still think they're cute!

No matter what you include in your proposal, your girls will be sure to see the thought and effort you put into asking them! I can't believe we are already down to 6 months before the wedding! I hope this post gave you some inspiration as to how you can ask your bridesmaids!
