What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?
Typically end of summer sales happen to clear out inventory, but the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale includes brand new merchandise being marked down the day it releases! All Fall releases are discounted majorly before the season even starts. It’s the perfect opportunity to snag sweaters, cardigans, booties, jackets and more. It truly is like Christmas in July! After the sale, all prices will go back up to full price the rest of the season.
Starting in 2020, Nordstrom has been releasing an online catalogue/early preview that you are able to browse about a week or so before the sale goes live to Nordy Club members.
What are the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2023 Dates?
The sale always runs in order of highest status cardmembers, to the general public. Below I’ve listed the dates of when cardmembers can begin to shop as well as the general public. To see what card member status you have, just log into or create your Nordy account.
If you sign up for the card now before the sale begins, you will be entitled to receive a $40 bonus note to use during the sale! Who can shop Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and when?
Early Access is one of the benefits to having the Nordstrom credit card. Your Nordy Club level is based on yearly spend amount. You can only shop the Early Access part of the sale if you have the card. Anyone who has a Nordstrom credit card is automatically “Influencer“ status.

How do I get early access?
If you are a Nordstrom cardmember you get to shop the sale first! This is extremely crucial for the sale because stuff always sells out within the first few days. The Nordy Club is free to join, plus you get early access! Each year there are a ton of items that were never even restocked unless it was returned. I had a hard time getting many of the items I wanted.
Is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Worth It?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is best time of year to take advantage of new items as we transition from Summer to Fall. Nordstrom is a huge trendsetter for the fall season with this sale, and then many retailers then follow the trends. Basically if you see something you think you’ll wear in October, grab it now in July when it’s much cheaper. After the sale, all prices go up to full price. Literally I’ve seen $150 pieces down to like $49 the day they launch!
Does Nordstrom Anniversary Sale restock?
This one is a frequently asked question, and the answer is tough. A lot of times, no not all at once. The upper level card members are able to snag items first, and they go very quickly by the time is is even opened up the public. Majority of the time if something ends up selling out, it will get restocked here and there based on what other are returning. Sometimes an item might get restocked in one size only, and only a few units of that size. It all just depends.
That being said, just because something ends up “selling out“, doesn’t mean you still can’t snag it. I recommend opting in for restock notifications, as well as saving a bookmark of the item at the top of your web browser to checking throughout the day.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Every Year Staples
Over the years I’ve collected tons of Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items I love, and still wear. It’s a great time to stock up on new sweaters for fall, boots, staple jackets, staple denim, and more. These few items are typically in the sale every year.
BAREFOOT DREAMS CARDIGANS:
The Barefoot Dreams cardigans run true to size. High quality and super soft. Warm enough for the winter with thin material, but the perfect amount of cozy for summer nights. I wear this all year round!
SPANX FAUX LEATHER LEGGINGS:
In my opinion, these leggings are only worth it when they’re on sale. However, I LOVE them! Love them for $64! The compression is amazing so they suck everything in. I love that they have no crotch seam either for camel toe. Lastly, the sheen is just gorgeous. Doesn’t look plastic-y like I’ve seen other leather leggings look.
FREE PEOPLE SWEATERS:
Every year I love to buy new Free People sweaters at a deep discount. Typically, they don’t go on sale again until the season changes, so I like to stock up. The Swim Too Deep Turtleneck has been in a few years in a row, and I’ve gotten it in 3 colors, I love it so much. It’s so oversized and cozy. I recommend sizing down 1-2. I’m wearing Small.
